Rebecca Fry DC, Owner and Principal Chiropractor
Doctor of Chiropractic (MChiro), GCC, MMCA, IAAT, IAAMT
Becky graduated from McTimoney College of Chiropractic with a Masters in Chiropractic, achieving a first class degree with honours.
Having grown up in the Sussex countryside, Becky was first introduced to chiropractic as a treatment for horses. It was this experience that then inspired her, combined with her love of biological sciences, to pursue a career in human chiropractic.
Becky retrained as a chiropractor, having undertaken primarily customer-focussed and largely desk-based roles in the past, so was already fully aware of the benefit Chiropractic could have on both health and posture. She loves chiropractic as it combines her interest in health and science with her inherent drive to help others. She feels that her previous experience allows her to further appreciate and understand the variety of conditions she sees on a daily basis and in turn, provide the best care.
Becky has been a qualified Level 3 Sports Massage therapist since 2016 and with her passion for horses, adding Equine Sports Massage Therapy to her current services was a natural step for her. Equine Sports Massage therapy can be beneficial for all horses and she loves being able to provide massage ranging from family horses and ponies to event and competitive horses, to help with rehabilitation, performance and ongoing health improvement. Becky utilises massage techniques including Myofascial Release, Trigger Point and Acupressure during her treatments for equines.
Becky is a keen equestrian and self-confessed animal lover. Like so many others, Covid-19 has affected her plans and having been accepted into the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC) in 2019, her course has sadly been postponed to 2021. However, she is looking forward to incorporating equine and canine chiropractic into her practice in the near future.
Becky is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (reg no 04957), a full member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association, United Chiropractic Association and provisional member of the Royal College of Chiropractors. Becky is also a registered member of the International Association of Animal Massage Therapists (IAAMT) and International Association of Animal Therapists (IAAT).
